A special message of thanks

Introduction

May 1st, 2009:

Ten years ago this month (specifically the 18th), this web site was launched for the benefit of Hunter Tylo's fans. It has undoubtedly become the world's most popular unoffical fan site about her. It offers the world's largest online Hunter Tylo photo gallery, as well as video clips, information, my opinions and other original content that I have written over the years (like the biography), plus a whole lot more. I don't mean to brag but I am certainly very proud of what I have built here since 1999. But I could not have done it without the help of Hunter Tylo's fans and others and the inspiration I've always drawn from Hunter Tylo herself.

Now, here comes the usual "overrating" of Hunter part :) HunterNet is devoted to a woman that I described last year, in my birthday message in her forum, as the greatest there ever was, is and will be for many years to come (it was a bit of a tough year for her in some ways and I couldn't help saying that). I think back over the time since the middle of last year when I said that and I remember what the media and public has put her through and how she has handled it with such dignity. I think back over that time about her acting work and how incredibly brilliant her work has been, and over the years in general since I became a fan of her in 1990. I think of all the reasons why I have always admired her and all the reasons why I have become so fond of her. Hunter Tylo is a woman that blows me away!

I will acknowledge that I have always been a bit over the top about all these reasons why I've always liked Hunter Tylo (especially her looks). There's always going to be female celebrities that have at least one guy running a fan site about them and making positive statements; nothing unusual there. But I believe now that I was truly a lot more correct in my description of Hunter last year, as the greatest, than I even knew back then.

I don't care if people say I'm just going a bit overboard in making such comments. It is what I believe based largely on what we have all seen in recent times, as well as what I know of the story of Hunter's life so far (as I've documented here over the last decade). I know other fans have stood by her and admire her as much as I do, if not more so. Perhaps there are a few other people out there that think even more highly of her than I do? I am quite sure there is and so I have nothing to be embarrassed about with my positive descriptions of her. I am a very proud fan today and I am definitely not afraid to shout it from every mountain top on the planet! If Hunter herself even doesn't happen to like just how much of a fan I can be and how proud I am then tough luck, because it's the way I feel :)

So, with that in mind, I will have some comments to make here throughout this 10th anniversary month. There will be some messages of thanks to a lot of people that have contributed to this site in some way over the years. There will also be a look back at a small part of the history of this site. I will talk a bit about what I have learnt about the public and Hunter's fan community in my time as the Webmaster of this site. And, yes, I will "worship" (just a tiny bit) the one truly cool and great lady that I have always admired as a person and looked up to, and whom thoroughly deserves all the praise she gets from me and other fans, whether she thinks she deserves it or not :) So stick around over the coming weeks and watch for my anniversary message to be published here this month, if you are interested in all that.

Rewind

May 11th, 2009:

A "what if" scenario to ponder if you like.

What if Hunter had left B&B at around this time in 1990, like she was going to do, to pursue a totally different career?

How different would her life have been in some ways? Who would've inspired us all so much then? Would we have fallen in love (so to speak) with that beauty of hers (her inner beauty and physical beauty)? Maybe we still would have depending on whether or not she returned to acting later? But what if she had not?

What if her character wasn't an instant hit back then and she had left? What if? It's amazing, and maybe even quite scary in a way for some people, to think about it a little.

She stayed on B&B, thankfully, and we've been so blessed since as fans that she has given us some of her time & we've come to know a bit more about her. It makes you all the more fond of her when you think about that fork in the road back then & the choice she made.

You might not be sitting there reading all this if Hunter had chosen a different path in life in 1990. We can probably all be thankful to her for the inspiration she has provided countless people around the world since 1990 in particular, when she did choose to stay on B&B.

There were a few years when she was not working on B&B (except for an appearance or two) and God knows how I and other fans got through those years without our Hunter Tylo "fix" (thank God I had this site in a way). She did appear in a few other projects luckily, though. But for the most part of the last 19 years, it has been through B&B that her gorgeous face has graced the TV screens of a half a billion people around the world.

We can all be grateful to Bradley Bell for his patience with the rollercoaster life Hunter has led sometimes. Without him, and that chance meeting in an airport about 5 years ago, she probably would not have returned to B&B. God works in mysterious ways and we can all be pleased, I'd say.

So, I would like to start off this 10th anniversary message this month with a special thanks to the late William Bell for seeing something in Hunter 19 years ago. And, of course, my thanks to Brad Bell. You are the best, Mr Bell! Thank you so much! Without you in some ways, I wouldn't have started this site 10 years ago.

The next part of this message will follow soon.

Photo above: Hunter Tylo looking so cute and adorable and just sooo beautiful in late 1999/early 2000, during this site's first year of existence. That is the face I fell in love with (so to speak) back then.

Looking back

This month, ten years ago, HunterNet was launched on another domain. Since then it has been on a few others until it finally settled on hunter-tylo.com around five or six years ago. The site has undergone several design changes, has seen much content added, has been reviewed in at least one magazine and has seen hundreds of thousands of people pass through this site (qiute a lot in October 2007 when the design changed just as tragedy struck Hunter Tylo's life again).

I have always wanted to build the biggest and most popular unofficial Hunter Tylo web site in the world. I can probably say that I have achieved that now. Other smaller sites about Hunter have come and gone but HunterNet has remained and grown. It is not here entirely for me to "glorify" a woman whom I have always believed is the most beautiful woman in the world for so many reasons. It is here primarily for Hunter's fans. But I did not "pioneer" the idea of a Hunter Tylo web site.

Beginnings

I would like to thank a guy by the name of Mike (who inspired me 10 years ago). Where he is and whatever he has done since his site closed years ago I sadly do not know. But he was the one that started the first web site about Hunter. He was joined by my friend Misha who has also run different versions of a fan site about Hunter on and off over the years. Mike and Misha led the way for me and Shae and one or two others that started web sites about Hunter not long after they did.

Fan community

In that time my site has prevailed as the only one left mostly. I have seen the best and worst of Hunter's fan community as a result. Where the best of that community is concerned, I have nothing but praise. We all love Hunter and some of us fans are a close group who chat regularly in different online meeting places. Where the worst is concerned, I have learnt this year in particular, after much media and public negativity about Hunter, that people can be quite bizarre :)

I know I can be a bit over the top with comments about Hunter's looks or acting or how much I admire her as a person, but I can assure you that it pales in comparison (and I have even learnt to laugh at myself more this year). But there are some real crazy loons out there that are genuinely a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic upstairs in the head. They will make all sorts of comments in forums and blogs and it amazes me. I wonder how they can judge a person's morals and talent and personality and parenting skills and more so easily? They know diddly squat!

A positive balance

I have offered this web site as a way of promoting the ideals, values, talent and staggering beauty of a woman that the world will not see the likes of for quite some years to come. Maybe this is why I "idolize" her like some people might think. I will continue to provide a positive balance here on this site to counter the negativity out there about Hunter Tylo sometimes. I will also continue to do what this site also exists for: provide a place where Hunter's loyal group of fans can drop by and keep in touch with each other. Hunter inspires those fans in ways we can never fully know. She has indirectly, and in some cases directly, been responsible for changing the lives of people that admire her in some way.

Thanks - part one

So to all those people that have visited this site over the years, I thank you. I hope you have found it to be useful in some way? And to all Hunter's critics and haters that have come here over the years to ridicule Hunter about her appearance and body parts, I have a photo for you to study just below.

More messages of thanks will follow soon.

Revolution

May 18th, 2009:

Hunter's Popularity

Hunter Tylo seems to be becoming more beautiful (see photo below) and also more popular than ever among her fans. I noticed late last year that she seems to be becoming a much more highly desirable woman these days (just so beautiful). Also, her acting skills that I have always been such a big fan of just keep getting better and better. I have learnt since late last year that her sense of humor is funnier than I was previously aware of. That probably comes in handy because I've noticed that she has handled scrutiny about her private life this year with much grace, class and dignity and I admire that. I am an extremely proud fan and have a much deeper fondness for her this year. She is without a doubt one of the coolest and most truly beautiful people around.

In addition to her beauty and talent, it is because she has been through some challenges in her life that many fans are left in awe. She inspires so many people that one can never truly thank her enough for that; we can only tell her we love her and appreciate her and the way in which she has faced her challenges. But I would certainly like to thank her on behalf of fans for being so truly inspirational.

Hunter has become a lot closer to her extended family (her loving fans). Earlier this year she had photos of herself taken at the supermarket, where she was being funny (a side of her we don't see often enough). They were most amusing and fans loved them when she posted them in her Facebook. That takes time to upload them from her camera to her computer, edit them and choose the ones to upload to Facebook and actually sit there uploading them all. That's the sort of effort she sometimes goes to for her fans when she has the time. And at B&B fan events she talks to her fans for ages. They are often left in awe of her beauty and how down-to-earth she is.

I would like to thank Hunter, on behalf of all fans, for that time and effort and graciousness when meeting fans. We are all extremely grateful to you, Hunter, for taking the time to think of us when you can. Thank you so much. We love you for that and for feeling our love and spending time with us! Thanks also for dropping by here earlier in the year to say hello to everyone. I used it as an opportunity to plug your Facebook but I wouldn't exploit the situation like that all the time so you are welcome here whenever you feel like it :)

With this sort of popularity, Hunter can achieve greater heights in anything she does.

I still yearn so much to see Hunter in one great mainstream movie role one day. That is the only disappointment I have had in my time as a fan of this beautiful and talented goddess I love so much. I want the whole world to see that stunning beauty of hers and witness her incredible talent. I hope that day comes soon enough and her career goes through a revolution that takes it to greater heights. She deserves it and I would be so incredibly proud if it happens. I'll keep dreaming of that day :)

In the meantime, I look forward to the next ten years and beyond to see how her staggering beauty gets better, her acting work gets better and what other acting roles she might pick up alongside B&B when she can. I know that many of her fans would be just as excited about Hunter's future as I am.

It is obvious then that this web site will grow to accommodate future fans and the newer fans coming through now (those slightly younger than me). But, of course, I would not have some of the content on this site if it was not for several people that have helped in some way and I'd like to thank them now on this 10th anniversary day of this site's existence.

Thanks - part two: thanks to some key people from the past and present

I hope the following people do not mind a mention? I would like to say thanks to them for their help in the ways that they did over some of the last 10 years.

Sheryl - it has been around 4.5 years since we last spoke but I do hope your life has gone well since you moved on to other pursuits? I thank you so much for your help back then and wish you all the very best! Your help is still very much appreciated to this day and always will be. Without you, I would have been right royally screwed with some of what I have presented on this site :) Thanks so much for seeing what I was trying to achieve here and for the help.

Connie - thanks for putting up with me over the years :) I appreciate it so much. I know I have probably been a bit of a pest sometimes (sorry), and I swear I will grow up one day :) Thank you very much for all your help and advice over the years. I will always appreciate that. For years, it has just been you and I for the large part, running web sites about Hunter. It has been good to have another such colleague around instead of doing some of this all alone for Hunter's fans. Keep up the good work and thanks for all that you do for Hunter and her fans!

Pat - What am I going to do with you, hey :) God, we had some really positive chats earlier this decade and I learnt so much. Sorry about my big mouth about 5 years ago, I am still embarrassed to this day. We might not have spoken since, after the fan club closed (I know you were quite busy), but I still think of you sometimes and respect you and still remember and appreciate your wise advice. If you should ever somehow read this, my door (my email inbox, in other words) will always be open to you. I sincerely thank you very much for all that you did. I wish you all the very best, of course! God knows what I would have done without you around to give me a good boot up the backside, so to speak, when I needed it and for all the help. Thanks again!

Mr Langdon - you have worked with Hunter over the years and have taken among the best photos of her ever! You are the greatest and I have always appreciated your work. Thank you for that and for allowing me to "borrow" some of it to showcase here. This site would be almost nothing if it was not for you. I appreciate your talent and respectfully thank you so much.

Corey - my brother and the main man. You are my hero and a total legend! God knows how you managed to "suck that heavenly babe in" so easily with your smooth moves but you are my hero and I'll bet you bloody well know it, don't ya :) Seriously man, I'm thrilled for Hunter and I'm so grateful to you for several reasons, dude. Thanks a million! I know I need not say more because you would know exactly what I would say. You are incredibly blessed like no other dude I know! Thanks for posting messages here to Hunter's fans. You're a legend, "Dabassman"! I love ya bro, but just not in the same way as a part of me probably could with Hunter, no doubt (in my dreams, that is), - so don't go getting any funny ideas now lol :)

I think I must've forgotten someone.

Oh, yeah, I know: the heavenly babe and total goddess herself :) Gee, I've been a real ratbag with you this year, Huntress, with some of the comments I've made here and in your forum and in one or two other places, no doubt. Some of it's probably a little bit disrespectful in some ways (oops, sorry) but you know me and it's all meant to be good, not rude :)

You've always handled me in such a classy way over the years, even when I've voiced an opinion when I've disagreed with one or two comments you may've made in the media or other places. Thank you so much for putting up with me all these years, especially when I have been quite over the top about your looks and acting ability. I really just can't believe how incredibly patient you have been with me and I do thank you so much for that! No other woman I know of is THAT patient with any guy :) Obviously then you totally rock and are a true goddess with a beautiful soul! I love that beautiful soul and all the genuine warmth and love that comes from it. There truly is no one else like you and I love you so much, Hunter!

I've always looked up to you and admired the approach you have taken in facing life's challenges, Hunter. You are an inspiration and a truly incredible woman, like no other. I love ya heaps (always have, always will no matter what, and I'll stand by you forever, I promise)! It has been one of the greatest joys of my life in running this site for my fellow fans of yourself. I look forward to seeing what the next 10 years and beyond brings for you. My best wishes to you for greater achievements and happiness in your life.

I love your humor so much; I love your intelligence and class; I love your acting work more now than ever. Most of all, I still have an intense love for your stunning beauty, more today than I ever have (it still melts my heart so much). I "worship" you here for so many reasons and I thank you so much for putting up with all that "glorification" - as carried away as I sometimes get with it all :) I don't care what the critics and haters say. I don't care what the media says. You truly are an absolute legend in so many ways and I'm not even trying to be a little over the top here, it's just the truth as I have always seen it.

Keep kicking butt, Hunter, because you know I love that and I've never been more proud to be a fan of you! If I do "idolize you like a human god", like someone said on this site last year, then believe me I can see plenty of good reasons to do so. I hope you don't mind if I continue that to some extent for many years to come? If you do mind every now and then, well (and excuse the "taunt") you'll just have to try to catch one of your favorite little ratbags, won't ya :) I know you can kick my butt to the moon quite easily so I can run quite fast when I want to ha, ha :)

Seriously, thanks again, on behalf of all your fans that have spent time here over the last 10 years. And thank you for your patience with me and for treating me so well all these years, too. I love you and all of us fans love you so much!

Others

There are probably other people I have forgotten to thank but they probably know who they are and that I appreciate them and thank them. Some people in Hunter's past have chatted with me about causes close to Hunter, while others she has crossed paths with have sent me exclusive content for use on this site. I cannot thank you enough!

Happy Birthday to HunterNet! It has been a great 10 years and a great joy! Here's to 10 more years and many more to come after that! Thanks for reading this everyone and for visiting this site!

Photo below: The world's most beautiful woman by far! You compare the above photo of Hunter with this one below and see how much more incredibly beautiful she has become. Freakin' wow! What a total dream she is!
